Belleza en Barro

This illustration depicts the famous and traditional craftworks made in “La Arena de Chitré”, a beautiful town from Herrera, Panama.  Those popular handicrafts are made with a special clay that only can be found on this place.

Every clay-based pieces are moulded by hand and led to a oven.  Later, they are painted.

Thus, I started drawing the characteres in 1998. I named my story “MOROM" and this is one of my favorite characters, “Noraki”.… and, yes!… his costumes are inspirated on Asiatic Cultures!…

Please, don’t let his huffy appearance makes you think he’s a samurai or something like that. In fact, Noraki is a pacifist.

OK… if you see the wallpaper at the lower right that I created in Photoshop 6 (remember, I did it in ’98), you’ll notice he’s fighting!… But, it’s not his fault… he’s always trying to stop bullies from picking on him.

As I used to, I designed for Christmas 2 new backgrounds.  One is based on traditional colors (red, white, green) and the another one is based on one of my favorite color: lilac.
Ahhhh!
Fascinating! Gorgeous!
