This illustration depicts the famous and traditional craftworks made in “La Arena de Chitré”, a beautiful town from Herrera, Panama. Those popular handicrafts are made with a special clay that only can be found on this place.

Every clay-based pieces are moulded by hand and led to a oven. Later, they are painted.

I started this project designing something sweet and "purplish" for decorating the door closets of my bedroom. I drew 3 fairies. I took one of them and redrew it using Adobe Illustrator CS. This is the result:

Xmas Card - Soft

As I used to, I designed for Christmas 2 new backgrounds. One is based on traditional colors (red, white, green) and the another one is based on one of my favorite color: lilac.
