]]> I traveled to Los Angeles, CA for vacations in Feb 2009.  My friends and I visited the LA Zoo & Botanical Garden located  in Griffith Park in order to have fun while learning about animals and plants that we didn’t know ever before.  This is the case of these beautiful flamingos!… I was the first time I saw one.

The first lunar eclipse of 2008 was perfectly placed for observers throughout most of the Americas as well as western Europe.  Panamanian saw delighted how the Moon was covered by the shadow of our planet during a full moon night on February 20, 2008.  I covered this extraordinary event with my camera Sony CyberShot DSC-H1 during 1 hr. (9:09pm – 10:05pm) until the Moon got red!  AWESOME!!!   
The red coloring arises because sunlight reaching the Moon must pass through a long and dense layer of the Earth’s atmosphere.    A reddish moon is really creppy…. COoOoOoOL!
